The home, in photographs
Wake up to the sea.
This beachfront apartment on Playa Bella Vista puts the Caribbean right in front of you — from the living room, from the dining table, from the kitchen while you cook. At 140 square metres, completely renovated in 2024, it has the space and the setting to make a holiday feel like it was made for you.
The open kitchen looks out over the water — a rare thing, and one you'll appreciate every morning. The living and dining area is generous and light-filled, with the sea as a permanent backdrop. Two bedrooms each have their own ensuite bathroom. A third bedroom handles kids or visiting friends without anyone feeling squeezed.
Smart TV, central air conditioning, and secure in-building parking round out everything you need — so the only decision left is whether to spend the afternoon on the huge sundeck or explore the island.
The location
The apartment sits directly on the seafront in Porlamar at Playa Bella Vista, with the ocean in front of you and the island's best-connected neighbourhood just outside the door.
Pampatar — with its restaurants, shopping centres, and the 17th-century Castillo San Carlos de Borromeo — is a few minutes away by car. Sambil Margarita, the island's largest mall, and Parque Costazul are both within that same short drive.
Closer to home, La Vela — one of Porlamar's most popular malls, known for its architecture and variety of shops and restaurants — is five minutes away. Nova Supermarket is one kilometre away. El Remo, a Porlamar institution with over 30 years of seafood and Italian-influenced dishes, is a short drive. Gaia Ristorante, widely considered one of the best restaurants on the island, is equally close.
For families, Diverland amusement park and Waterland Mundo Marino — with its dolphin shows and water attractions — are ten minutes away by car. The airport is approximately 20 kilometres away, around 25 minutes.
The apartment
The apartment is 140 square metres, completely renovated in 2024, and feels it — spacious, fresh, and well laid out for groups and families alike.
The master bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom, a queen bed, and sea views. The second bedroom also has an ensuite bathroom and twin beds. The third bedroom has a double bed, making it ideal for children or additional guests. A dedicated desk makes the apartment equally suited to those who need to stay connected while travelling.
The living and dining area opens to full sea views — a wide, comfortable space with a Smart TV and seating for the whole group. The kitchen is fully equipped: large fridge, stove, microwave, and coffee machine. A washing machine with dryer is available for longer stays. Fast Wi-Fi runs throughout the apartment.
The beach
The beach right in front of the apartment is Playa Bella Vista — a working fishermen's beach with an authentic, unhurried character. Colourful boats, local life, and sea air. It's a beautiful thing to look at over morning coffee, and a world away from the tourist circuit.
For a proper beach day, the island has plenty to offer, all within easy reach: Playa Bayside, a sheltered, calm-water beach popular with families, is 5 minutes away. Playa de Pampatar, one of the best-regarded beaches in this part of the island, is 10 minutes away. Playa El Yaque, the island's famous kite- and windsurfing spot with restaurants right on the sand, is 25 minutes. Playa El Agua and Playa Parguito — long, golden, lively, with the best waves on the island — are 35 minutes away and worth every minute of the drive.
Eating & nightlife
A few minutes by car, Avenida Aldonza Manrique is where Porlamar's evenings come alive. The Downtown Beach Club anchors the strip — a sprawling open-air venue right on the water with live DJs, multiple restaurants, and a pool terrace that draws both locals and visitors well into the night. Picada's Restaurant, just along the avenue, is a relaxed favourite for Venezuelan grills and generous sharing plates. Azotea brings a rooftop bar feel with cocktails, dancing, and a crowd that shows up late and stays later. For something with a view and a quieter atmosphere, La Terraza de la Nonna at Hotel Margarita Real is worth the short drive — wood-fired pizza, cold beer, and a terrace looking out over the coast.
Further into Porlamar, El Remo is a 30-year institution beloved for its seafood and Italian-influenced kitchen, while Gaia Ristorante consistently ranks among the finest dining on the island.

The practical stuff
Hard facts
- Electricity
- The building has a communal generator for the common areas; the apartment itself relies on the grid. Power outages in Porlamar tend to be shorter than inland — the city has priority infrastructure.
- Water
- The apartment has its own 2,000-litre water tank, refilled automatically four times a week — so hot and cold water are always there when you need them in the kitchen and both bathrooms.
- Air conditioning
- Inverter split-units in the living room and all three bedrooms.
- Internet
- 100 Mbps fibre. Dedicated router in the apartment with the password on the welcome card. Upload tested above 35 Mbps. Reliable enough for back-to-back video calls.
- Parking
- The apartment comes with its own secure indoor parking space at no extra charge. Leave the car, head upstairs, and not give it another thought.

What guests say
The apartment is absolutely gorgeous and the view takes your breath away — at night you can hear the ocean through the window. Well-maintained building, very helpful staff. 100% recommended.
Spotless and even better than the photos. Waking up to the ocean view felt like a gift, and the huge pool made every moment an escape. Dirk and Frank’s level of care is rare.
A week of luxury in this incredible apartment — exactly as described. Water is never a problem thanks to the internal tanks, the central A/C works perfectly, and the view is indescribable. Impeccable common areas and a huge pool.
We spent a wonderful week in Porlamar. Super quick check-in, a kind and efficient host, minutes from the beach, with 24/7 security that gave us real peace of mind. Without a doubt one of the best in Porlamar.
Inside it’s a marvel — space, natural light and luxury finishes. The view is straight out of a film: dining while watching the sunset leaves you breathless. And the host is always ready to help.
Excellent stay — pool and beach, a calm, clean building, and the apartment exactly like the photos. Impeccable bathrooms, a beautiful, relaxing view, and water tanks so it never runs out. I’d go back!
Excellent location, an unbeatable view, super spacious and comfortable, and wonderful care from Dirk and Yelitza. 100% would repeat.
A great place for a family stay — very quiet, with a lovely sea view. A really good option to rest.
The place was exactly as described and the hosts were extraordinary throughout, always responding immediately. We felt at home. I’d return without hesitation.
